ติดกระดุมเม็ดแรกผิด ที่วิเคราะห์มาทั้งหมดก็ผิด
ไฟล์ udb ที่ได้มาจากแหล่งใดๆ Fit data เอง / ผู้ผลิตให้มา / หรือ ไม่ได้ทดสอบแต่อ้างอิงมา
เราต้องรู้ว่า ระดับความสมบูรณ์ของข้อมูลจากแหล่งข้อมูลอยู่ในระดับใด
ใน Moldflow จัดระดับคุณภาพ ฐานข้อมูลแมททีเรียล ไว้ 3 ระดับ
- ฺBronze rating
- Silver rating
- Gold rating
ถ้าหวังผลลัพธ์เชิงคุณภาพ และ ขนาด แม่นยำสูง ท่าน จะไม่ได้จากฐานข้อมูลแมททีเรียลที่มีคุณภาพในระดับ Bronze rating
+++ !!! ไม่ได้หมายความว่า udb file ที่ตรงกับเกรดที่ใช้ หรือได้จากผู้ผลิตเม็ดพลาสติก จะสมบูรณ์เสมอ

Material data completeness indicators
Each indicator can be assigned a Gold, Silver or Bronze rating based on the following criteria.
- Testing method employed to generate the value of each material property.
- Completeness of the range of material properties needed for the analysis type.
- How recently the testing was completed.
Refer to each plastic grade in MF Database.
How does the plastic manufacturer and Moldflow lab work?
Moldflow Plastics lab have contact with manufacturer when needed or requested.
Manufacturer many times have a department or person responsible for the material data sets.
Manufacturer (and others) can also use Autodesk Moldflow Data Fitting to fit raw data for udb-file.
Also raw data could be sent by Excel sheet to Moldflow Plastics Lab for data fitting
Manufacturers do testing or Moldflow lab does?
Both, but not all manufactures in all details.
There are different ways of testing different properties, some are the same and standardized.
Manufacturer (and others) can also use Autodesk Moldflow Data Fitting to fit raw data.
This means udb-files could be made official or private.
How to rate the completeness of data; fill, pack, and warp to be Gold, Silver, or Bronze?

“A Gold rating indicates a high confidence in the quality of the material data for the analysis type.
When accurate analysis results are critical, it is recommended that a material with a Gold rating should be used.
A Silver rating can result from a combination of well tested, and supplemental[1] material data.
For example, a material might have a Gold Packing Data Completeness rating but use supplemental Mechanical Properties data.
This could result in a Silver Warpage Data Completeness Indicator rating.
Bronze ratings can reflect problems such as incomplete data sets,
the extensive use of supplemental data and untested material properties.
The use of Bronze-rated materials can still generate good results,
but these results should not be relied upon to determine critical requirements such as
precise warpage or shrinkage allowances used for the cutting of molds.”
The Supplemental data are untested parameter ………. that is highlighted in red, indicate that the values used are supplemental.
How to get the supplemental data for the untested, where are they from?
Generally for the material family, and has been around for quite a while

ผู้ผลิตพลาสติกและห้องปฏิบัติการ Moldflow ทำงานกันอย่างไร?
- ห้องปฏิบัติการ Moldflow Plastics Lab จะติดต่อกับผู้ผลิตเมื่อจำเป็นหรือเมื่อมีการร้องขอ ผู้ผลิตเองหลายครั้งก็มีแผนกหรือบุคคลที่รับผิดชอบเกี่ยวกับชุดข้อมูลของวัสดุ ผู้ผลิต (และผู้อื่น) ยังสามารถใช้ Autodesk Moldflow Data Fitting เพื่อปรับข้อมูลดิบ (raw data) ให้กลายเป็นไฟล์ udb ได้เช่นกัน
นอกจากนี้ ข้อมูลดิบสามารถส่งมาในรูปแบบไฟล์ Excel sheet ไปยัง Moldflow Plastics Lab เพื่อให้ช่วยทำการ fitting ข้อมูลได้เช่นกัน
การทดสอบวัสดุเป็นหน้าที่ของผู้ผลิต หรือ Moldflow Lab?
- ทั้งสองฝ่ายทำได้ แต่ไม่ใช่ว่าผู้ผลิตทุกรายจะทดสอบทุกรายละเอียด การทดสอบคุณสมบัติแต่ละชนิดมีหลายวิธี และบางวิธีก็เป็นมาตรฐานอยู่แล้ว
ผู้ผลิต (และผู้อื่น) สามารถใช้ Autodesk Moldflow Data Fitting เพื่อปรับข้อมูลดิบได้ ซึ่งหมายความว่าไฟล์ udb สามารถถูกเผยแพร่อย่างเป็นทางการ หรือจะเป็นไฟล์ส่วนตัวก็ได้
วิธีประเมินความสมบูรณ์ของข้อมูล (fill, pack, warp) ให้อยู่ในระดับ Gold, Silver หรือ Bronze?
Gold rating หมายถึงมีความเชื่อมั่นสูงในคุณภาพข้อมูลของวัสดุสำหรับการวิเคราะห์ประเภทนั้น ๆ
เมื่อต้องการผลวิเคราะห์ที่แม่นยำเป็นสิ่งสำคัญ แนะนำให้เลือกใช้วัสดุที่มีการจัดอันดับเป็น Gold
Silver rating อาจเป็นผลจากการผสมผสานระหว่างข้อมูลที่ผ่านการทดสอบจริงกับข้อมูลเสริม (supplemental)
เช่น วัสดุชนิดหนึ่งอาจมีการจัดอันดับ Gold ในด้าน Packing Data Completeness แต่ใช้ข้อมูลเสริมในคุณสมบัติเชิงกล (Mechanical Properties)
ซึ่งทำให้การประเมิน Warpage Data Completeness กลายเป็น Silver
Bronze rating มักสะท้อนถึงปัญหา เช่น ข้อมูลไม่สมบูรณ์ การใช้ข้อมูลเสริมจำนวนมาก และคุณสมบัติของวัสดุที่ไม่ได้ทดสอบจริง
สรุป Moldflow เป็นเพียง Software เดียวที่ให้ข้อมูลและจัดลำดับความสมบูรณ์ของฐานข้อมูลด้านความร้อน ความหนืด การหดตัว สมบัติทางกล ทางความร้อนก่อนจะวิเคราะห์งาน CAE Moldflow การยืนยันความสมบูรณ์ของข้อมูลพลาสติกจากห้องแลปส์ก่อนด้วยอย่างรู้จริง ก่อน ตัดสินใจ คือ หัวใจของการติดกระดุมเม็ดแรกในงาน Moldflow
